SPIRALS

Spirals come in various forms.  They may be logarithmic, equiangular, geometrical, or rectangular spirals.  A lot of natural phenomena or objects manifest spiral properties.  These includes shells, tornadoes, hurricanes, and galaxies.

Some examples of spirals that can be generated mathematically in 2 demensions include:

1) The Archimedean spiral.
2) Fermat's spiral.
3) The hyperbolic spiral.
4) The Cornu spiral or clothoid.
5) The lituus.
6) The logarithmic spiral.
7) The Fibonacci spiral and golden spiral.
